TEVETA to hold 2017 National Executive Conference


In a bid to respond to the growing challenges in the business environment,  TEVETA will hold a National Executive  conference tailor-made for leaders of Malawi’s top businesses, companies and organisations under the theme “Steering Organisations through Business Turbulence”  at Makokola Retreat in Mangochi from 6th to 7th October, 2017.  

The  conference has been organized to give modern corporate leaders the skills to overcome economic challenges; motivate leaders to re-engineer their businesses for the economy and at the same time to inspire networking and collaboration amongst Malawi’s corporate figures. 

At the conference, delegates will be accorded an opportunity to listen to one of Africa’s leading figures, Thebe Ikalafeng who is founder and Chairman of Brand Africa Leadership Group. Ikalafeng who has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Africans by New African Magazine has worked on over 100 brands across Africa. He will be joined on stage by Mr Chancellor Kaferapanjira, Chief Executive Officer for Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) and Mr Beyani Munthali, Executive Director for Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM).

The Conference is targeting Chief Executive Officers, Founders; General Managers; Executive Directors, Board Members and Business leaders from Malawi’s largest corporations.

Meanwhile, TEVETA Acting Executive Director, Mr Wilson Makulumiza Nkhoma is using the current annual door-to-door meetings with Chief Executive Officers of various companies and organisations to extend invitation to them to the conference.                                                                   

The Conference is being held under the Private and Public Sector Training Programme, a training window through which all TEVET Levy compliant employers are supported in addressing skills and performance gaps at the workplace for purposes of increased productivity and delivery of good quality products (goods and services) on the market.
